A late-onset type 1 diabetic, Dr. Patrick Provost became interested in these vaccines as well as health crisis management after experiencing 5 unusual adverse events following a first dose of vaccine, which his endocrinologist refused to report to public health. He was suspended, following a colleague’s complaint, for 8 weeks without pay by Université Laval for speaking publicly against the vaccination of children for COVID-19, due to an unfavorable risk-benefit assessment. He is currently facing another complaint of the same nature that could lead to a more severe sanction, even his dismissal. The text entitled “The true portrait of COVID-19 in Quebec” that he published in the Journal de Montréal on June 22, 2022, was censored and removed 40 hours later from Quebecor’s platforms, before being republished in Libre Média.
