About Christine

Christine Anderson was elected as a Member of the European Union Parliament, where she has served since July 2, 2019.  MdEP Anderson has been active in politics since she was 23 years old, when she helped her fellow citizens as they fled communist East Germany in the late 80s. 

Christine Anderson has always been a champion of the underdog and is a resolute defender of human rights for all.  Hers is a value system we want to use as a basis for measuring up.  Thus the slogan, What Would Christine Anderson Do?  Anderson has become a beacon of transparency, truth, freedom, and justice for many people around the world especially here in Canada.

Personal Life

Christine Anderson was born in 1968. She is a mother of three daughters aged 17, 19 and 23 and lives in Fulda. Christine completed a commercial apprenticeship and moved to the USA in 1992 after graduating from high school. 

During her 6-year stay in the USA, she studied economics and worked as the managing director of a national trading company. There she was responsible for an annual turnover of 1.6 million US dollars.

After returning to Germany, she completed a law degree in Göttingen.

"I am of the opinion that we often forget all too easily that all these things (constitutional rights and freedoms) - which until recently we took for granted, but are now in the process of disintegrating - had to be fought for, sometimes bloodily, by our fathers and grandfathers."
